Why I got my EcoBroker's certification

When I moved to Ulster County in the 70's a green community started to form around a food coop. There was hardly an internet so we actually got together to find organic growers , to buy in bulk and to work together to distribute the produce and grains.
Now the area is rich with CSA's (Community Sponsered Agriculture) and many people joined up to use what was then abandoned farmland to restore our area as a local breadbasket. It's been huge and fun.
Fast forward to 2009. I decided selling Real Estate for 20 years was not enough. People move here for a quality of life. Our natural beauty and awareness for the environment attracts many people from the city and I decided to get my EcoBroker designation to learn more to help buyers make economic choices and to help sellers invest in changes that make their properties more comfortable and efficient.
Thus, ta daaa ... I became certified as an EcoBroker . I learned alot , above and beyond the realm of buying and selling property to helping people make environmental choices and improvements. Ask me. There's so much we can do.
