I will be adding more entries later, but for now, heres a little bit "about me".
Visiting friends in the seventies, I fell in love with the Hudson Valley, and moved from Manhattan to a farmhouse in Accord. With my degree in Art and my background in human services, I worked as a consultant with Ulster Co. Mental Health, facilitating a community center and teaching life skills in many of the middle schools.
Eighteen years ago, I started learning real estate through construction first, by marrying a builder/designer and having hands on experience with many of the phases of building from the ground up. This work blended well to provide guidance helping people to buying and selling homes. With a love for the land and gardening, and trust in the power of community, I was an early member of some of the first food coops, alternative schools (which have now blossomed into High Meadow), and cultural centers.
I've felt privileged to work with groups keeping retreat centers, artist creating studios away from the city, and families in all phases of their lives. My curiosity for different cultures has drawn me to travel around the world, and I still enjoy reunions with my grad school friends from Manhattan's Dalton School.
